ANESPO – National Association of Professional Schools

ANESPO is a non-profit organization established in 1991, representing Professional Schools in Portugal, with private management and public funding.
ANESPO counts with 156 associates in Portugal and the autonomous regions of Madeira and Azores, comprising more than 200 education institutions, attended by about 40.000 students, predominantly young students, in vocational courses as well as other education and training courses for young audiences.
The know-how and expertise of ANESPO is rooted on the extensive experience of its associated members, to whom it provides advice in a wide range of matters, such as:
• Enhance quality of teaching in vocational schools and its certification in accordance with international quality standards;
• Assume a position of mediation between vocational schools, national, regional or local governmental institutions, and external stakeholders, in several fields.
• Deliver ongoing training to teachers, tutors and other education specialists;
• Support in the design and implementation of innovative project that contribute to the accomplishment of pedagogical goals of vocational schools through the establishment of partnerships with national and transnational stakeholders.
