Founded in 1977, the Association of Professional Cooks of Portugal (ACPP) aims to promote Portuguese gastronomy by recognizing and professionalizing the sector. With around 2000 members, ACPP represents Portugal at the World Association of Chef's Societies (WACS) with 100 member countries that communicates to a universe of 10 million professionals from all over the world. Certified as a training entity by the Directorate-General for Employment and Labor Relations (DGERT).
